Applications of solar thermal systems

Today, a wide range of industrial processes and businesses rely on hot water for various purposes. The main processes include sterilization, food processing, pasteurization, and sanitary hot water. The main industries that use hot water are the textile and clothing industries, food processing, animal slaughterhouses, the pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, hotels, motels, the chemical industry, and others. H Solar offers technology capable of supplying hot water between 50°C and 80°C, the typical temperature range required for most industrial processes.

Currently, the vast majority of these processes requiring hot water are carried out using boilers powered by fossil fuel sources used to generate thermal energy and heat water. These fossil fuels face rising prices every day, posing an economic challenge for companies.

H Solar's solar thermal systems are based on German technology and engineering , capable of generating savings of up to 80% in fossil fuel consumption, such as the gas used in boilers.

Each solar collector is manufactured with parts that meet very high quality standards, as are the components used in its installation, while always seeking the best prices.

Each project and installation requires a customized analysis, as each industry and process is unique, so we develop projects tailored to our clients' needs.

Why invest in solar thermal energy?

The efficient use of solar energy is very efficient because the energy from the sun is considered inexhaustible and renewable, as it will last for as long as the sun lives.

Furthermore, because it produces no waste or polluting gases, solar energy is a great help in mitigating the harmful effects of climate change.

According to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in 2015, Mexico is located in a region considered one of the most favored in solar resources.

Mexico's solar radiation is up to five times greater than that of Germany and 1.2 times greater than that of China, yet its efficient use of solar energy is very low.

Another very interesting motivating aspect for companies is that there are tax incentives for all buyers of solar panels in Mexico. According to the Income Tax Law, Article 32, Section XXVI, it is possible to deduct 100% of your initial investment in a single fiscal year.

Furthermore, the average return on investment is calculated in just three years. That is, after three years, the company recovers its investment in its project and begins to enjoy ongoing savings.

Global situation

Currently, the use of boilers by the industrial sector consumes various fossil fuels, primarily gas, which has become one of the main causes of direct environmental pollution.

In 2018, a statement from the World Health Organization (WHO) noted that at least 90% of humans inhale air with high levels of pollution.

It is estimated that air pollution, both in cities and rural areas, caused 4.2 million premature deaths worldwide each year.

In Mexico, by 2022, 99.5% of Mexicans face a risk to human health due to exposure to high levels of polluted air. Today, according to a study conducted by the WHO in conjunction with the Air Quality Monitoring System, the metropolitan city of Monterrey is ranked as the city with the worst air quality.
